What are your hours?

Hours of access are 8 a.m. – 11 p.m., with one hour reserved for cleanup from 11 p.m.-midnight. Extra hours may be available, please inquire directly.

Where are you Located?

Although we’re located in the country, we’re very close to Ashland, WI! We’re located five miles from Lake Superior, and there are guest conveniences nearby like hotels, the airport, and transportation to and from the venue. Navigate to the “Destination Ashland” tab to explore more of what the area has to offer for you and your out of town guests.

What is your seating capacity at The Gathering Barn?

The main room at The Gathering Barn accommodates up to 250 guests at full capacity, with comfortable table seating for 225 guests. Our outdoor ceremony space can also host up to 250 guests, providing a picturesque setting for your special day.

If you're planning a larger ceremony or reception, we encourage you to reach out directly. Our team is happy to provide guidance and information on options such as local tent and restroom trailer rentals to ensure your event is seamless and accommodating for all.

Where can my bridal party get ready?

Our venue provides a comfortable Bridal Suite for the bride and her party to prepare for the big day in style. For the groomsmen, we offer an outdoor Gentlemen’s Quarters complete with darts, horseshoes, and a lounge area—perfect for relaxing, changing, and enjoying some downtime before the celebration begins.

Do you cater? Can I bring in my own food?

We understand the importance of delicious food to enhance and compliment any event . While we operate as a holding/warming kitchen only, we are happy to offer a list of recommended local caterers familiar with events at our venue, included in your rental at no additional charge. Simply let us know and we can put you in touch!

You are welcome to bring in and serve your own pre-prepared food for your event. While The Gathering Barn is not licensed to cook food on-site, we are permitted to reheat or warm dishes as needed. To support your catering needs, our facilities include an oven, a microwave, and multiple outlets for crockpots. This allows you the flexibility to serve ready-made food while enjoying the convenience of our warming options.

I want music at my event. Can you accommodate?

Yes! New for 2025- inquire about our very own in-house DJ Service, Midnight Rendezvous! We offer ceremony sound, curated set lists, state of the art club-grade pro sound and light show for your event! We’re also ready for anyone you choose hire to provide music for you. We have a designated DJ corner with several outlets for speakers and lighting equipment. There’s a built-in Bluetooth PA sound system with microphones and ceiling speakers to carry sound out onto the patio as well.

How far in advance should I book my event?

We understand how exciting it is to start planning, and securing your date is an important first step. Our venue typically books 6 to 12 months in advance, so we encourage you to reach out when you’re ready to start the process. We’d love to help you reserve the perfect date for your celebration and we are here to assist every step of the way!
